President of The United States Joe Biden believes that Russian President Vladimir Putin is a "killer," has no soul, and says that he will "pay a price" for his wrongdoings.

He made the corresponding statements in a pre-taped interview by ABC News that aired on Wednesday.

When asked whether he believes Putin is a "killer," Biden replied: "I do."

He said that Putin would face consequences soon for directing efforts to swing the 2020 U.S. presidential election to Donald Trump.

“He will pay a price,” Biden told, and when asked what the consequences would come, he said, “You’ll see shortly.”

His comments came after a U.S. intelligence report on Tuesday bolstered longstanding allegations that Putin was behind Moscow’s election interference, an accusation that Russia called groundless.

According to the report released by the Office of the Director of U.S. National Intelligence assessed that Russia sought to interfere with the 2020 presidential election with an expansive social media and online influence campaign similar to an operation from 2016.

It also said that a network of Ukraine-linked individuals connected to Russian intelligence relied on “prominent U.S. persons and media conduits to launder their narratives” alleging “corrupt ties” among members of Mr Biden’s family with Ukraine.

2020 misinformation campaign was aimed at “denigrating President Biden’s candidacy and the Democratic Party, supporting former President Trump, undermining public confidence in the electoral process, and exacerbating sociopolitical divisions in the US,” according to the report.

President Biden said that he had warned his Russian counterpart about a potential response from the U.S. during a call in January.

“He will pay a price... We had a long talk... I said: I know you, and you know me. If I establish this occurred, then be prepared,” Biden reported.
