In Sevastopol, on the night of December 15, the floating dock PD-16 sank with the submarine B-380 “Holy Prince George”.

According to the Russian Interfax and TASS, the floating dock, as well as submarines, were written off from the inventory of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation.

“Tonight in the southern bay of Sevastopol floating ship PD-16 sank, which contained a decommissioned submarine B-380. The boat surfaced, it is afloat,” TASS reported, quoting a source in emergency services of Sevastopol.

The press service of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation indicated that the submarine is now being prepared for towing to the disposal site. floating dock PD-16 and the hull of the submarine, which was in it, were decommissioned from the fleet more than 10 years ago.

“The embankment of the South Bay near the dock is patrolled by the military police. In particular, its employees forbid taking pictures of the bay,” a TASS correspondent noted.

Reportedly, in the southern bay of occupied Sevastopol, where a floating dock with a submarine decommissioned by the Russian Black Sea Fleet sank, an oil spill occurred, according to "acting governor" of the city Mikhail Razvozhaev, as cited by the Russian Interfax.

Razvozhaev informed, that the oil spill has already been localized, and the submarine’s hull would be sent for disposal on December 16.

At the same time, the "acting governor" of Sevastopol assured that the incident supposedly does not pose a danger to people and the environment.

The B-380 is a large diesel-electric submarine. In the early 2000s, a major overhaul of the submarine was started, later the submarine was maned "Holy Prince George." However, later the repair was stopped, the boat was decommissioned.

Earlier, on December 12, a fire broke out on the Russian aircraft carrier Admiral Kuznetsov, according to preliminary data, six people were injured, one of whom was in serious condition. Another person has disappeared; communication with him cannot be established.
