U.S. ships military aid to Ukraine under defence partnership agreement

The military aid provided by the United States under the defence partnership agreement reached during the recent visit of the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to the U.S. has arrived in Ukraine.

Ukraine's Ministry of Defense said that the cargo will be delivered to Ukraine in several batches, which the latest part of the aid arrived at Boryspil International Airport on October 10. 

"In addition to the previously agreed amount of $ 250 million, Ukraine will receive another $ 60 million aid in medical supplies, weapons, ammunition, high-precision weapons and radar surveillance from its American partners," the ministry reported.

According to the report, Ukraine has received more than $ 2 billion amount of support in logistics from the United States since 2014.

"The provision of additional security assistance from the U.S. government to the Armed Forces of Ukraine is another evidence of the unwavering strategic partnership between our states," the Defence Ministry noted.

As reported, a Framework Agreement on Strategic Foundations of the Defence Partnership between the Ministries of Defence of Ukraine and the United States was signed in the presence of President Zelensky, during his working visit to the U.S. in September 2021.
