After the occupation of Crimea, the Russian Federation wants to end Ukraine’s sovereignty. This was stated by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine in an interview with Nonoye Vremia (Current Time).

"Putin wants Crimea and Donbas related sanctions lifted. This is his number one task. To achieve destabilization to make the country fall apart into several parts," Danilov said.

According to Danilov, if the Russian leader fails to do that, weapons can be used. But Ukraine is ready for such a scenario.

At the same time, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council said that Russian troops near the Ukrainian borders were not enough to launch a full-scale invasion.

"We do not see a large concentration of Russian troops. There are some movements of troops, but for us, it is not critical. There must be a much bigger number of troops, than there is today, for a full-scale invasion," stressed the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council.

He noted that Ukraine has been under threat for seven years, and the threat is constant. It is no secret for Ukraine that there are Russian troops in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

"For today, the greatest danger is in the Mariupol area, in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions," Danilov said.

As reported by QIRIM.News, Alexei Danilov said that Ukrainian scout reported about 600 thousand Russian citizens transported to occupied Crimea.

As reported by QIRIM.News, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said during a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Brussels that the Russian Federation's troops and equipment are being built up on Ukraine's borders.
