An important day. Ukraine freed 205 of its citizens from the Russian captivity

As part of the exchange with the Russian occupiers, 205 Ukrainian citizens were freed. This is the largest exchange of prisoners of war. This was announced by the head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine Rustem Umerov on his Facebook page

"Commander of Azov, Hero of Ukraine Denys Prokopenko, Serhiy Volynskyi from the 36th Marine Brigade, Sviatoslav Palamar, Oleg Khomenko, Denys Shlega from NSU, Hero of Ukraine Yevgeny Bova, and Kateryna Polishchuk. We also freed the pregnant military servicewomen who were in captivity – Yana Shumovetska and Anastasia Chernenka," Umerov emphasized.

Umerov emphasized that the operation to return citizens home was successfully realized thanks to the titanic work of the Ukrainian side in coordination with international partners.

"I am grateful to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky for his leadership and for fighting for the return of every person home. To the Head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak and the Head of the main intelligence office Kyrylo Budanov, the Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets, as well as colleagues from the Coordination Staff for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, the Security Service of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs for their extraordinary efforts to make today's exchange happen," wrote Rustem Umerov

As previously reported by QIRIM.News, Ukraine exchanged 10 prisoners of war, which are citizens of other countries for the first time.
