The fiercest battles will begin in March, and any weapon will be used on the territory of Crimea occupied by Russia.
This was stated by the Head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, in an interview with the ABC News TV channel, Ukrinform cites.
It is reported that when Budanov was asked whether Ukraine had struck the Russian air base "Engels", located more than 1,200 kilometers from the Ukrainian border, he said that the answer to this question could be given "only after the end of the war".
At the same time, when asked whether there will be more such strikes in the future, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications answered "I think so", and added that they will be "deeper and deeper".
"Crimea is Ukrainian territory, we can use any weapon on our territory", Budanov said regarding strikes on Russian-occupied Crimea.
According to him, the fiercest battles will begin in March. At the same time, Ukraine is planning a major offensive in the spring. Budanov once again emphasized that the main goal is to reach the borders of 1991.
According to the head of the MDI, the only remaining problem is the nuclear arsenal of the Russian Federation "and the uncontrolled regime", which will lead "the whole world to understand the need for denuclearization of Russia or, at least, international supervision of its nuclear arsenal".
