Crimean Tatars on the occupied peninsula are experiencing the greatest repression. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelensky during a video address to the participants of the American Jewish Committee Global Forum.

"The Russian army has destroyed the communities, in which the Greek community has lived for centuries. The Crimean Tatars on the occupied peninsula are experiencing the greatest repressions. Russian rockets hit Babyn Yar in Kyiv, a Russian missile damaged the Menorah in Drobitsky Yar near Kharkiv”, Zelensky said.

He stressed that the hatred of Russians for Ukraine and all mankind is the driving force behind the war.

"I see that you help our state, but I ask you to redouble your efforts to stop Russia's hatred of humanity. Hate is also the driving force behind this Russian war against Ukraine. Against freedom in Europe and in the world. Hatred for everything Ukrainian: for culture, for the history of Ukraine, for the fact that despite all the horrors of the past, Ukraine has remained a good, open country for different cultures. Diversity is an important characteristic of Ukraine”, the head of state noted.
