The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, said that Ukraine and Russia managed to reach an agreement on the exchange of 200 war prisoners. Erdogan stated this in an interview with PBS, Glavkom reports.

"In Uzbekistan, I met with President Putin, and we had very broad discussions with him. And he actually shows me that he is ready to end the war as soon as possible. This was my impression... According to the agreement of the parties, 200 hostages will be exchanged", he said.

The President of Turkey believes that thanks to this "a significant step forward will be made".

In addition, according to Erdogan, after the end of the war, all territories captured by Russia should be returned.

"The seized lands will be returned to Ukraine", Erdogan said.

He also noted that no "invasion can be justified".
