The occupiers are transferring heavy military equipment. 3 convoys – about 80 units of equipment – passed through Melitopol in the direction of Kherson. The mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov, announced this on the air of the National Telethon.

"The first one passed from Tokmak, Novopylypivka, and through Voznesenka, it was 20 tanks. The second convoy passed through the central avenue of Melitopol yesterday – It is almost 20 units of landing vehicles. And the third column passed through Novy Melitopol – also more than 30 units of armored vehicles. They are taking it in the direction of Kherson," Fedorov said.

According to him, the invaders plan to use local residents as human shields. But they do not release people from the temporarily occupied territories. More than 5,000 people are at the checkpoint in Vasylivka.

The mayor added that food products in Melitopol imported from the occupied Crimea cost 3 times more than the usual price.
