The defense forces are preparing carefully and do not count on the fact that the return of Crimea occupied by Russia will be easy.
Nataliya Humeniuk, head of the Joint Coordination Press Center of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, said this on the air of the Yedyny Novyny telethon, reports Ukrinform.
"Also, in addition to logistics, they [Russians - ed.] have quite significantly undermined the morale and psychological state of the army. And it also has a great impact. We have some experience in liberating the right bank, where they also set up many defense lines, and compacted them very significantly, even using reinforced concrete structures. Many layers of defense were built, and then they left everything behind and quickly followed the direction of the "Russian warship". We do not count on the fact that everything will be so easy. Every "gesture of goodwill" made by them is still made under our control," Humeniuk said.
According to her, Ukrainian defenders continue to fulfill their work and are aware of how long and difficult it can be. In this case, the support of the Resistance Forces, which help to work from the inside, is essential.
Humeniuk also commented on the information that Russia may stage provocations. She noted that "this all is just for getting on the nerves".
"If we talk about man-made blackmail, then we have already experienced it. When they were fleeing from the right bank, they talked about the destruction of the Kakhovskaya HPP and tried to blame the Defense Forces for it. Also provoked certain defense forces of the Zaporizhzhia region, including with regard to the nuclear power plant. We understand that they do this all just for getting on the nerves. But additional scenarios are being considered," said the head of the Joint Coordination Press Center of the Southern Defense Forces.
