The Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine considers the statements of the President of Croatia, Zoran Milanovych, regarding Crimea, which actually called put under doubt the territorial integrity of Ukraine, unacceptable.
This was stated by the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Oleg Nikolenko on the Facebook page.
Nikolenko noted that Zoran Milanovych believes that Crimea will never be Ukraine again. The Croatian president also warned against confronting Russia, which has nuclear weapons.
"I wonder if Zoran Milanović would have been able to become the president of his country with such rhetoric in the 1990s when Croatia was struggling to preserve its statehood? Would his voters agree to turn a blind eye to the occupation of part of their country's territory? I doubt it", Nikolenko said.
He reminded that due to external aggression, Croatia could lose a third of its lands.
"However, thanks to the heroic struggle, the Croats were able to protect the independence of their state", Nikolenko wrote.
Instead, the spokesman emphasized, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs highly appreciates and thanks the government of Croatia and the Croatian people for the steadfast support of Ukrainians in the fight against Russian aggression.
As reported by QIRIM.News, the President of Croatia, Zoran Milanovych, stated that Crimea, occupied by Russia in 2014, will never again be part of Ukraine.
