In the Rozdolny district of occupied Crimea, two brothers were detained on suspicion of allegedly participating in the Crimean Tatar battalion named after Noman Chelebidzhikhan.
This is reported by the Crimean human rights group.
"It has been established that the brothers, born in 1999 and 2000, voluntarily joined the ranks of the battalion and, being part of it on the territory of Ukraine, performed the functions of guarding the objects of the russian armed forces, located near the settlement of Chongar, Henichesk district, Kherson region," the occupying FSB said in a statement.
It is noted that criminal cases were initiated against young people under Art. 208 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Organization of an illegal armed formation or participation in it).
"The Crimean Tatars, whose names have not been mentioned, were imprisoned for two months. They face 15 years in prison," the report says.
