On January 17, Ukrainian Minister for Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba met with a bipartisan delegation from the US Congress, led by Senators Robert Portman and Gene Shahin and attended by Senators Amy Klobuchar, Chris Murphy, Richard Blumenthal, and Roger Wicker. This was reported by the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

"The visit of the senators to Kyiv confirms that Ukraine has strong bipartisan support from the United States against the withdrawal of Russian troops to the state border and the temporarily occupied by Russia territories of our state," Kuleba said.

The government noted that the parties paid key attention to the joint steps of Ukraine, the United States, and its allies to deter Russia from further aggression and strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities.

US senators reaffirmed the support of the people of Ukraine in defending their sovereignty and territorial integrity, and the readiness of the United States to take concrete steps to strengthen the security of our state.
