Russian
Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov explained why the aggressor country
suddenly declared its rejection of Ukraine's accession to the European Union.
This was reported by Interfax.
According
to the Russian Foreign Minister, this step no longer looks as
"innocent" as it seemed to the Kremlin before.
Lavrov cited the position of the European Union itself as the reason.
"From the constructive economic platform on which it was created, the EU has become an aggressive, militant player, who is already declaring its ambitions far beyond the European continent," said the Russian Foreign Minister.
Therefore, Ukraine's accession to
this "aggressive player", according to the Kremlin leadership, poses
a threat to Russia.
