The Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov stated that the geography of the tasks of the so-called "special operation" in Ukraine has changed and allegedly went beyond the borders of the "DPR" and "LPR". This is reported by the propagandist Russian publication RIA Novosti.

Lavrov said that now the Russian army has received the task of "demilitarizing" the south of Ukraine as well.

"Now the geography is different. It is not only the DPR and the LPR, it is also the Kherson region, the Zaporizhzhia region, and a number of other territories, and this process continues, and it continues consistently and persistently," said the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

Also, Lavrov once again threatened the West over the supply of weapons to Ukraine, including HIMARS missile systems. According to him, the "special operation" can expand even more if the Armed Forces receive long-range weapons.

"Because we cannot allow weapons that will pose a direct threat to our territory to be in the part of Ukraine that is controlled by Zelensky", Lavrov added.
