On the sidelines of the Warsaw Security Forum, the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine, Crimea, Tamila Tasheva, discussed the issue of colonization of the Crimea peninsula occupied by Russia with the Assistant Secretary General of NATO for Public Diplomacy, Ambassador Baiba Braze. This is reported by the press service of the representative office on the Facebook page.
"Moscow's tactics [regarding the territories occupied by it] remain unchanged," said Braze, a native of Latvia.
Tasheva informed Baiba Braze about Ukraine's planning of the reintegration processes of Crimea, which our state is currently actively working on in order to be ready for the de-occupation of the peninsula.
Permanent Representative also drew the Ambassador's attention to new security
challenges caused by the beginning of a full-scale invasion of the Russian
Federation: in particular, the use of the peninsula as a military base for the
further occupation of Ukrainian territories and the criminal mobilization of
residents of the occupied territories to join the ranks of the Russian army.
