NATO Ministers of Foreign Affairs will hold an extraordinary online meeting due to the build-up of Russian troops near Ukraine's borders on January 7. This was reported by Ukrinform, citing the press service of the Alliance.

According to the press release, "An extraordinary online meeting of the North Atlantic Council with the participation of foreign ministers will take place on Friday, the 7th of January 2022".

It is noted that the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of NATO member states will discuss Russia's military expansion in and around Ukraine, as well as European security issues.

The meeting will be chaired by the NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg.
