Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said that President Recep Tayyip
Erdogan will continue negotiations with Presidents of Ukraine Volodymyr
Zelensky and the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to organize their
meeting. This is reported by Аnadolu.
At the same time, Cavusoglu emphasized the importance of renewing the dialogue
between Russia and Ukraine.
"President Erdogan will continue negotiations with Putin and Zelensky. Our goal is to organize a meeting of the two leaders to make decisions at the level of heads of state. The whole world is paying for the consequences of this war," the Turkish minister said.
He emphasized the importance of
concluding a "just peace". And he added that the currently occupied
lands are the lands of Ukraine.
"Turkey did not recognize the illegal annexation of Crimea from the beginning, as it clearly stated to Russia. We also do not recognize the results of referendums on the territory of Ukraine," said the head of the Turkish Foreign Ministry.
