The Minister of Defense Oleksiy Reznikov hopes to increase the supply of heavy weapons following the next meeting of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine – Rammstein-3, which will be held on June 15 in Brussels. He said this on June 13 in Kyiv during a meeting with the US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Ukraine, Bridget A. Brink, the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports. Further military assistance and strengthening the defense capabilities of the Armed Forces were discussed at the meeting.

“The coalition of the world's states in support of Ukraine is growing. I hope that following the next meeting in the Rammstein format, we will be able to achieve significant practical results in increasing the supply of weapons for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, especially in the field of heavy weapons. I believe that international support will have the maximum effect. With the military assistance of partner countries, we will be able to expel the enemy from Ukrainian lands, defend our independence and freedom of European countries", said the Minister of Defense.

Reznikov stressed that Ukraine's partners continue to work on supporting the Ukrainian army in the confrontation with the Russian aggressor. And the role and leadership of the United States in this process are extraordinary. He thanked the Ambassador and all the people of the United States for their steadfast position in support of Ukraine.

Attending the meeting, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny said that in his recent telephone conversation with the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Millie he shared strategic ideas and goals.

"Understanding the strategy of our armed struggle and conducting operations will help ensure transparency in relations with partners, a clear and understandable quantitative and time frame of international technical assistance requested by Ukraine", said the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.

Bridget Brink noted the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who with special determination and courage fight for victory on the battlefield.

"The courageous Ukrainian military is defending freedom. I am focused on getting Ukraine the weapons it needs to fight. We discussed the issue of strengthening Ukraine in the battle with the aggressor and strengthening the defense capabilities of the Armed Forces", Brink said.
