Russia decided to mobilize the Crimean Tatars not only to replenish its army, but also to force them to leave Crimea, where the Crimean Tatars continued nonviolent resistance, despite Russian repression.

The head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, who is also actively involved in the negotiation process with Russia, told about this in an interview with the Ukrainian service of “Voice of America".

He added that Ukraine is actively working to return the Crimean Tatars who left for third countries to avoid Russian mobilization.

According to Rustem Umerov, Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the Crimean Tatars with a proposal that was supported by the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people.

"The first is to avoid mobilization by any means. The second is to go to protests. The third – If they were mobilized, to transfer the coordinates of the Russian troops to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Now some people from Crimea leave for Kazakhstan, Georgia, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Turkey. We have already built a coordination center for humanitarian aid, and we will return all these people to Ukraine in order to continue their struggle," Rustem Umerov told "Voice of America".

He added that many people who left the temporarily occupied Crimea have problems with documents. Now they are waiting abroad for a potential decision that will enable their return to Ukraine.
