In the morning, on September 17th, in the area of Joint Forces Operation (JFO) during the military mission, one soldier was fatal injured, the JFO press center reports.
According to the military, a working group of representatives of the Military Law and Order Service at the Armed Forces of Ukraine and military unit are working on clarifying the circumstances of his death.
Meanwhile, over the past 24 hours, on September 16, the armed forces of the Russian Federation and its mercenaries violated the ceasefire 23 times, and as a result, two JFO soldiers were injured.
In particular, the enemy fired at the JFO positions from the mortars prohibited by the Minsk Agreements – 120 mm and 82 mm caliber, as well as from grenade launchers of various systems and small arms.
Thus, the enemy carried out 14 shelling at the JFO positions in the area of Vostok tactical force responsibility near Pischevik, Pavlopil, Lebedinske, Verkhniotoretske, Vodiane, Opytne, Nevelske, Mykolayivka, Marinka, Krasnogirovka and Novotroitske.
In the area of North tactical force responsibility, the enemy carried out 9 shelling at the JFO positions near Luhansk, Novotoshkivske, Novoluhanske, Novohorodske and Krymske.
