Ukraine will be able to return all lands occupied by Russia, including Crimea.
This was stated by the former commander of the US Army in Europe, retired general Mark Hertling in an interview with the Austrian newspaper Wiener Zeitung, Ukrinform cites.
"Ukraine can win this war. Of course, President Volodymyr Zelensky and the Ukrainian people have to decide what constitutes a victory. But as an outside observer, I would call the return of all occupied territories, including Crimea, a victory", he noted.
According to him, the enemy still does not have the necessary number of troops to perform the assigned tasks. He also pointed to poor training and a lack of leadership culture in the Russian army.
He also indicated in which territories there will be battles in the near future.
"I think we will see offensive operations in the southeast, smaller tactical battles in Donbas for the return of territories. But the main efforts will probably be aimed at cutting off the logistical path of Russians leaving Crimea", the general said.
