The commander of the Russian occupation forces in Ukraine, Serhiy Surovikin, said that in the Kherson region, the Russian Federation is moving the army to the left bank of the Dnipro river, which means leaving Kherson.
The relevant information is published by the Kremlin mass media.
At a meeting with the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Sergei Shoigu, Surovikin stated that "it is expedient to organize defense along the barrier line of the Dnipro River, on its left bank." According to him, this decision is "difficult", but at the same time, it should help preserve the combat capability of the occupying group.
According to him, the maneuver of the troops will be carried out in the near future.
In turn, Serhiy Shoigu agreed with the proposal to organize defense on the left bank of the Dnipro River and ordered to begin the withdrawal of troops.
