The counteroffensive of the Armed Forces began with strikes on oil and fuel depots of the occupiers in order to stop their logistics.
This opinion was expressed by political scientist Mykhailo Sheitelman on Apostrophe TV.
"In spite of everything, the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has begun in a certain sense. First, they hit the oil depot of the occupiers in Sevastopol, leaving the Russian fleet without solar power and diesel. Now the oil depot on the Taman Peninsula near the so-called "Crimean Bridge" is on fire," the political scientist said.
According to Sheitelman, there is nothing surprising in this sequence of events: the other day, the Minister of Defense of Germany suggested that the Armed Forces of Ukraine may strike military facilities on the territory of the Russian Federation in order to reduce the offensive potential of the enemy.
The political scientist also noted changes in the rhetoric of Russian propaganda.
"They started teaching new techniques, tasked with a more serious assessment of the capabilities of the Ukrainian army, more "realism" and less hat-throwing attitudes about Putin's "special military operation". Apparently, the Kremlin has realized that lying to themselves is worse, considering the fact that they went to such frank self-exposure", he noted.
According to Sheitelman, this can be considered as a certain victory for Ukraine, which in the current situation has acquired a strategic psychological advantage over the enemy.
