In occupied Sevastopol, the level of retail trade in seven months of 2022 fell by 8% compared to the "COVID" year of 2021.
As reported by the Crimean Reintegration Association, "statistics" which are under the control of the Russian invaders state that only in the second quarter of 2022, the level of real monetary income of Sevastopol residents "gave negative growth" by 4.5% compared to 2021.
At the same time, the heads of the occupiers associate the collapse of the city economy of Sevastopol not only with a decrease in income but also with a decrease in the number of "tourists" in the conditions of a large-scale war.
business in Sevastopol, compared to AR Crimea, has always been more weakly
connected with tourist flows and did not directly depend on them, but the
decline in the incomes of citizens is clearly not the cause of the sad state of
the occupied city's economy, but its consequence.
