The Council
of the EU approved the fifth package of military aid to Ukraine for 500 million
euros. The head of the European Council, Charles Michel, reported this
on Twitter.
The total amount of support in the fight against Russian aggression reached 2.5 billion euros.
"Europe continues to work for peace and protection of our values. I welcome the EU Council's political agreement on the fifth tranche for Ukraine within the European Peace Fund (EPF). The EU's military equipment support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine now amounts to 2.5 billion euros", he wrote.
Moreover, Charles Michel noted that the EU will continue to support Ukraine.
