The European Parliament voted to ban the issuance of visas for Russian passports issued in Crimea and other annexed territories of Ukraine, as well as in Abkhazia and South Ossetia, which the Kremlin occupied in Georgia.

531 European deputies voted for the adoption of this decision, 34 abstained, and 7 opposed.

At the same time, it is noted that people who fleeing the war in Ukraine are able to enter the territory of the EU.
