Russia's Black Sea fleet is being evacuated from Crimea in the event of an operation by the Ukrainian army to liberate the peninsula.
Captain I rank, head of the Department of the Navy of the National Defense University of Ukraine, Stepan Yakymyak, stated this on the air "Suspilne. Sprotyv" (Odesa), Suspilne.Novyny cites.
"The main task of the Black Sea Fleet is not to support those forces and troops that are defending themselves. It will more likely be an evacuation of the entire fleet, ships, forces, and means; and the most important thing is an attempt to steal our property from Crimea. Experience shows, we can recall the Second World War. It happened like this," he noted.
According to him, the Russian fleet is relocating to Novorossiysk and other ports in the Black Sea.
At the same time, the expert emphasized that during the liberation operation, it is important that the striking means of the Armed Forces of Ukraine can reach the ships of the invaders.
