The date of the beginning of the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces has already been determined, and in the near future, it will be clear what exactly and in what direction our command has planned.

Oleksiy Hetman, a military analyst and reserve major of the Armed Forces, told about this on Apostrophe TV.

According to him, if we consider the situation today, taking into account what we and the russian occupiers see on the map, then the strike can be carried out at positions along the Azov coast, where significant activity is currently observed.

"In this region, there is a so-called "land corridor" to Crimea, which is a narrow strip that is already under fire. Given that we have missiles capable of hitting targets at a distance of 250-300 km, the russians face serious problems in this area", he said.

If we talk about the use of heavy equipment and tanks, it is easier to use them in the south of Ukraine because there is dry steppe soil, there are no forests and other natural obstacles, Hetman believes.

However, he notes that an enemy can also take advantage of this situation. The military analyst emphasized that strikes can also occur in several directions at once, but in such a way that the enemy does not understand at all which direction is the priority.

"In this regard, our command is acting competently, using a wide technical arsenal and the assistance of competent people. Some specialists periodically make themselves known: they can send drones to Rubliovka, or set fire to an oil depot so that the russians have nothing to refuel their tanks. I think that in the near future, good news awaits us, and very bad news awaits the russians," Hetman summed up.
