Today, September 21, 2022, the occupying Supreme Court of Crimea handed down another illegal sentenceto the Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People Nariman Dzhelal, as well as Asan and Aziz Akhtemovs.

Prosecutor's Office stated that the law enforcement and judicial systems in
Crimea are a single "repressive machine" whose purpose is only to
persecute and intimidate the civilian population of the peninsula, including
the indigenous Crimean Tatar people.
"All those who take a pro-Ukrainian position, citizens who have not come to terms with the occupation, lawlessness and terror on the peninsula fall under its "wheels". It is significant that Nariman Dzhelal was detained last year immediately after participating in the Summit of the Crimean Platform. The detention is connected with his public and political activities, coverage of the crimes of the occupiers, freedom of speech and the fight for human rights," said the head of the Prosecutor's Office of Crimea Ihor Ponochevny.
He also added that all the facts of
crimes committed by the Russian Federation and its occupation administration in
Crimea, including those related to the Crimean Tatars, are recorded in the
criminal proceedings of the autonomous prosecutor's office.
