For the Russians, this is an extremely powerful reputational and image blow, since they (ed. - the authorities) have declared that Crimea is like an "unsinkable aircraft carrier" and that the occupying authorities will guarantee security. Now we see that this is not true, they cannot guarantee safety. Military expert and head of the Center for Military and Legal Research Oleksandr Musienko stated this in an interview with Radio NV, commenting on the explosions near the town of Dzhankoi.
"It should depress their condition. They are constantly looking for those responsible and guilty, and residents are not satisfied with this situation. And no matter whether there was "cotton", whether it was sabotage, or whether (as has already become a meme) someone smoked in the wrong place, in any case, it all means that the occupiers cannot guarantee security", the expert emphasized.
Musienko
added that this should add confidence and firmness to the Ukrainian people in
their conviction that Ukraine can be de-occupied within the borders of 1991,
including occupied Crimea, and using various political, diplomatic, and
military methods.
