The United Nations Human Rights Council has voted in favor of tighter monitoring of the human rights abuses in Ukraine as a result of a full-scale Russian invasion. This was announced on Twitter.

The initiative to set up a special commission of inquiry to investigate Russia's war crimes has been supported by 33 countries.

Only two voted against. These are China and Eritrea.

12 countries abstained: Cuba, Kazakhstan, India, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Venezuela, Armenia, Bolivia, Cameroon, Namibia, Senegal and Sudan.
