The United States has sent a new reconnaissance drone toward the Ukrainian Crimea annexed by Russia.
"According to the Flightradar service, the RQ-4 Global Hawk with the call sign FORTE10 headed for the Black Sea. The UAV entered the waters of the Black Sea - a few hours before that it was circling in the airspace of Romania," the publication writes.
The drone took off from the Sigonella Air Base near the Italian city of Catania.
It will be recalled that on March 14, the American Reaper drone collided with a Russian Su-27 aircraft over the Black Sea.
The Pentagon called the actions of the Russian pilots "dangerous and unprofessional." Subsequently, it was reported that, according to analysts of the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW), this incident will not lead to an escalation of a direct conflict between the United States and Russia. On March 16, the American military also published a declassified video of a drone collision with a Russian fighter jet over the Black Sea.
According to the American media, the aggressive actions of Russian fighter jets against the American drone were authorized by the highest leadership of the Kremlin.
