Today, Ukraine is celebrating Flag Day. A solemn raising of the state flag of Ukraine took place on Sofia Square in Kyiv, in which President Volodymyr Zelensky took part. The flag was raised accompanied by a hymn performed by a military band, and volleys.


In the annexed Crimea in the city of Yalta, unknown people painted the sign installed at the Yalta Hotel in blue and yellow - colors of the Ukrainian flag. Activist from the Crimea Natalia Lyutikova reported about the incident. She posted photos from the occupied city on her Facebook page.


Moscow and Kyiv tentatively agreed to exchange 33 Russians for 33 citizens of Ukraine, according to the source of the Russian publication RBC. The Ukrainian Ombudsperson Lyudmila Denisova is already in Moscow, and her Russian counterpart Tatyana Moskalkova flew to Kyiv.


At a meeting of the UN Security Council, the Charge d'Affaires of Ukraine to the UN, Yuri Vitrenko, spoke about the persecution of believers of all faiths and denominations except the Moscow Patriarchate in the Ukrainian territories occupied by Russia. He also noted that a cathedral in Simferopol was seized from the Orthodox Church of Ukraine in the occupied Crimea.
