The situation in eastern Ukraine is very tough and painful. The future of all Ukrainians is being decided there.
This was stated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskiy in a video message.
"Today I was in touch with our commanders, with intelligence. It is very hard in the east - very painful. We must destroy the enemy's military power and we will do it. Belohorivka and Maryinka, Avdiyivka and Bakhmut, Vuhledar and Kamianka - and all other places where our future is being decided now," Zelensky emphasized.
The head of state thanked everyone who is currently in battle, who defends positions and fights for Ukraine.
The head of state also announced that the government approved and proposes to the Verkhovna Rada to approve changes to the state budget, more than half a trillion UAH for defense.
"All funds will be directed to the financial support of the military, to the support of our state defense sector, to defense equipment, including drones. We will do everything possible and even impossible to strengthen our soldiers," Zelenskiy said.
