Ukrainian authorities have decided to tighten measures in the capital Kyiv amid the new peak of recorded daily COVID-19 cases. The latest restrictions will come into force from November 1, Kyiv’s Mayor Vitaly Klichko announced. According to the decision, people are required to have vaccination certificates or negative test results for entering restaurants, hotels, gyms, shopping malls, public transport and several other facilities. The new measures come as Ukraine reported a record 26,071 infections on Thursday. The country’s new death toll stands at 576. Klichko said that children and teenagers would only be allowed to enter malls if accompanied by adults who are vaccinated or have a negative COVID-19 test result. Schools will revert to distance learning, but kindergartens remain open if all staff and personnel are vaccinated. Only people with vaccination certificates or negative test results will be able to use public transport. https://qirim.news/en/kryimskie-tataryi-en/coronavirus-cases-at-the-peak-in-russia-occupied-crimea-since-start-of-pandemic/
